I am not going to qualify for HSMP after all. I emailed home office and also spoke to First Contact re the salary pro-rata thing. Apparently there is a fine print that says, "if i dont work for more than 4 weeks in a year, i cant pro-rata my earnings". they said i could try and apply using my australian earnings - but which also means i dont get the 5 points for previous UK earnings and if i need 12 months pay slips from australia, i also wont get the 5 points if i am 32 yrs old.
Which means.... i am staying in Melbourne for now. Will still be going to South America on 30th November, and will be buying a Around the World Ticket which will bring me to London on the way back to Oz from Rio. So, I will still get to do some shopping in Europe and see u all in London in Jan'08.
Very disappointed.... cuz I still miss London a lot... but... i guess i cant be depressed about something that I cant change. C'est la vie.
