Bariloche - Argentina

Bariloche, in the centre of Argentina is ski town surrounded by the Andes and Lake Nahue Huapi. We took a 6 hours bus ride from Pucon, and border crossing from Chile to Argentina is pretty straight forward. The bus company is very well organised and we go to Patanuk Lake (our lodging for 3 nights) on time.
The minute we arrived at Bariloche, we loved it. Our accommodation was excellent as it overlooks the lake. Our first night here, we went out to have proper Argentinian Steak at a Asado place. We were recommended Don Modina and it was not disappointing at all. I think we can all say we have one of the best steak we ever have in this restaurant. Steak is only around USD 12 to USD15. Bargain. We tried a bottle of Patagonian Wine, it was yummy too. Day 2 we went and tried game meat at Khandahar. We had deer meat capaccio and also had rabbit, with another bottle of Malbec. :p
Bariloche was our chilling out stop, as we have just finished climbing the volcano in Pucon. We took a scenic bus ride to visit the famous Llao Llao Hotel near Bariloche and basically just rested, ate well and drank well the whole time in Bariloche. Bariloche is also very well known for its chocolates (Most famous one is Mamushcka), so we have heaps of those too.

I really like Bariloche, I understand why people can stay in this town for weeks and weeks. Unfortunately for us, we only had 3 days and we had to take the bus down to El Calafate.
