I like my food. I think most of you know that. I am trying to be leaner, but that does not mean I won't eat. I just won't eat bad food, and concentrate my intake on fresh and tasty food. I am now in Asia and normally the perception amongst lots of people are, Asia has better food than Australia. I beg to differ. It's lots cheaper (Hawker centre mix rice is only $4, Chicken Rice is $5), but its no way better food than Australia. The portion is also heaps smaller too (Good for me)
I realise that I get hungrier here more often than I would in Australia. I eat heavier food (rice, noodles) but I always tend to be starving at around 6pm. My ex manager once told me (back in London this was), that heavier food does not necessary give you nutrition. I think I am starting to realise what he is saying is true.
I like Asian Cuisine, and I think you dont have to pay a lot for a tasty and satisfying meal. Vietnam is one of those country that you can eat well and doesn't burn a hole in your wallet. On the other hand, i think we are quite lucky to have lived in Australia and enjoyed the fresh ingredients that we have and the diversity of our food there.
I should endeavour to try out at least a couple of the dishes listed in this article in November when I go back to Melbourne.

Oh, I find that food in Australia is a lot better than food in Malaysia too though it's definitely cheaper here. I miss Australia, particularly Perth.
