Pilgrims have been walking the Camino de Santiago pilgrimage for over 1000 years. Its history and significance make it a spiritual epicentre for the Christian faith after Jerusalem and Rome. I will be walking the most popular route (The Camino Frances, The French Way) all the way to Santiago then to Finisterre

Budapest - Hungary
31st Aug - Arrived in Budapest by train this afternoon from Vienna - got my passport stamped too. Train journey was supposed to be 3 hrs.... but it was delayed for nearly an hr when we got into the border of Hungary. Being in really clean Germany for more than 3 weeks and coming in from Vienna, Budapest looked a lot dirtier at first impression. Trains are full of grafitti and the station is pretty old and run down. The underground train stations are nice and new - but then the trains were dirty and old.... its a very big contrast. Its very humid and warm today - whern I was walking to find my hostel, i felt like i am in KL - modern and new buildings and offices on one side... then on another, u find old buildings falling to pieces building with grafitti and dodgy ppl at the corner..... Will be going out now to "downtown". Will let u all know what its like tomorrow. (this hostel has free internet - yeah!!)
