Day 22 Resting in Leon

Today my blisters looks very dry and I am
certain by tomorrow everything will be ok again and I should be able to walk without much problems

Met Kate from Melbourne who is a vey good friend of the owner of Chez Dre and also met again the Canadian lady Marushka I met along the way a few times since Burgos during breakfast and as usual the conversation centred along "feet". After 3 weeks the conversations with fellow pilgrims have gone from "how heavy is your pack" or "how cold was is today" to "any problems with your feet". There seems to be a silent challenge to see how many blisters one person can have. I said I had 4 and then someone would say they had 10. It's just ridiculous.

We had a lie in this morning and went for buffet breakfast at 10am. It was a really nice breakfast with jamon Iberico. After breakfast I collected my post from the central post office, walked along the river and then also visited the Leon Cathedral. The inside of the church is very simple as compared to the OTT cathedral of Burgos. The stained glass windows is really something that I haven't seen before

Had a little something to eat at a cafe next to the cathedral and bumped into David and his daughter Destiny again and also Heather a lovely lady from South Africa.

Brought Heather back to the parador so she can see the museum and also helped her load photos on to her FB at the business centre.

Tonight we eat here at the parador and we rest and sleep early because tomorrow we leave and will start walking again.
