Day 8 Torres del Rio to Logrono

Set out at 730am once more and it was 2c and raining. All my clothes and rain gear on once more ready for the 20km to Logrono passing the town of Viana

The path was up and down leading to Viana which was 13km away. Rain and mid makes he walk a lot harder but at least the rain stopped after 3 hours of Walking.

Set out again with Annet and met up with Eric and Joyce an older couple with matching shoes and matching backpack from South Africa along the way.

Met a Korean girl pilgrim Jenny who set out from Los Arcos at 5am walking to Logrono and she has wet shoes and wet socks and big blisters in both feet. Helped her with bandages and walked with her into Logrono. Told her also to get some wool socks!

Arrive in Logrono at 1pm and went to the smaller alberque called "check in Rioja" which has really really nice single bathroom with very good shower. It was a good choice as the municipal alberque was big and nasty. Me and Annet decide to walk around the city a little and it was quite a pleasant city

Surprisingly Gina also came to the same alberque as us and it was good to catch up with her. Me and Annet went to a local taverna on avenida navarra and I ate some pigs ears and some bacalao and wine which was 80cents per glass for afternoon tea.

Too tired to walk anymore and in the cold so dinner was a bottle of wine and kebab takeaway. We had a dorm of 30 beds but at least it was warm. I slept with eat plugs in and slept alright. Not perfect but ok
