Met the Colombian and the French couple again at first morning coffee stop and she looked miserable. She told me she has 6 blisters and I told her she need to care for it and she said she will. Few km after that as I was talking to Gina about them we saw them again and she was limping slowly so Gina convinced her she has to let me look at her blisters. We sat her down on the side of the road and I took out my first aid kit with needles and etc and spent 30mins popping all her blisters and putting betadine on them and giving them some betadine and antiseptic so they can treat it themselves after. Also gave her some ibuprofen and she was walking much better after. Saw them again after 5km and she told me she had gotten 2 new ones again so I again took out my kit and treated her. I now know their names. Audrey and Carlos and I term them Romeo and Juliet of the camino.
Made a few more stops along the way and had lunch at Airexe which was 10km away from San Xulian. Met again with te group of Kelly, Lee, Des and Nicky and found out that they are staying at the same place as us.
Got into Palas del Rei and am glad I am not staying in town as there is a rally car race going on and all the cars are revving up next to the Albergue. We did stop for a cider at the bar before walking on to San Xulian.
Since we has a bed booked we didn't have to hurry and only got to San Xulian at 5pm. The Albergue O Abrigadoiro is really nice. It's in an old farm house and we have 6 beds to 1 room with our own bathroom. Dinner was really nice, had vege soup, pork chops, salad, tortilla and it was good to have variety.
We had a good laugh at dinner with people all swapping their stories and pet hate of the camino. Lisa the American told us about the old Spanish couple having sex while she is on the top bunk during the day, Des told her about the big fat German walking around with underpants that has put her off staying in Albergue and she now only take private rooms, Nicky has her story of trying to wake up a man sleeping in the bed next to her and found out that he has dies in his sleep and has gone hard and cold. There are some horror stories out there and I am glad I didn't experience it myself.
Tomorrow is an easy 25km stage to Arzua.
